HOOKED Vol 1. : The Brink

In the uncharted backwaters of a distant planet, we first encounter The Diver.
Searching through the disorganized bits and bobs of an alien end-of-the-alley market, he drifts between strange smells, foreign languages and objects whose purposes are best left unquestioned. At the far end of the market, he stumbles upon a stall belonging to a merchant known as The Fishmonger.
Then, against all probability, he sees something familiar.
A face in the corner of his eye. A shape behind cloudy glass. The Diver finds himself staring into a dirty, algae-covered aquarium. Above it, a hand-painted sign reads:
LIVE BAIT
Inside, a fellow Earthling looks back at him.
For a moment, the noise of the market seems to fall away. Somewhere beneath the strange rhythms of the planet, something clicks.
He must set this creature free.
Their journey begins here.
