Few artists have shaped underground electronic music as profoundly as Mark Ernestus.

For more than three decades, Ernestus has been at the heart of some of the most important movements in electronic music.

Through Basic Channel and Rhythm & Sound, he helped define a new language for techno, drawing on the depth and space of Jamaican dub to create something entirely new.

Alongside this, Hard Wax became a crucial meeting point for generations of artists and one of the most important record stores in electronic music.

His influence can be heard across generations of techno, dub, house and experimental electronic music, from Berlin to Detroit and far beyond.
On Friday 13 November, we welcome one of electronic music's true pioneers to The Villa for a special 3-hour DJ set.
