On Friday October 9, 7:30pm (doors 7pm), the historic Thornbury Theatre transforms into a mid-century Latin-jazz club for a spectacular evening of music with Cuban Fire! The Band: Powered by an awesome 25-piece Afro-Cuban big band featuring Australia's finest musicians & the fabulous Nina Ferro, vocals. The Original Sounds: Hear Stan Kenton's authentic, actual scores used on the legendary Capitol recording sessions of 1956-'60. Massive 3-Set Program: Enjoy three full sets of electrifying music, headlined by the iconic 6-movement Cuban Fire Suite.
