Paal er en av de mest-turnerende artister her til lands, og har sammen med pianist og produsent, Gøran Grini spilt på de fleste norske scener gjennom 20 år. I 10 år frontet Paal Flaata bandet Midnight Choir, og i kraft av sin stemmeprakt satte han gruppa på det europeiske kartet. I disse årene rakk Midnight Choir å gi ut fem plater + to samlealbum. Spellemannspris fikk de for "Amsterdam Stranded" 1998. Som soloartist har Flaata gitt ut tilsammen 10 album; In Demand (2002) - Rain (2005) - Christmas Island (2007) - Old Angel Midnight (2008) - Wait By The Fire (2012) - Bless Us All (2014) - Come Tomorrow (2016) - Love And Rain (2017) - New Green Grass Will Grow (2022) - I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day (2023)
