Duruflés Requiem og motetter

Duruflés Requiem Opus 9 blev påbegyndt i 1941 og færdiggjort i 1947. Værket er inspireret af den katolske dødsmesse og er et traditionelt sakralt Requiem i samme tradition som Faurés Requiem. De ni messedele er baseret på liturgiske tekster på latin og græsk og har Pie Jesu med mezzosopransolo som centrum. Ved begge koncerter opføres desuden Duruflés fire gregorianske motetter a cappella.

Københavns Bachkor består af omkring 35 seriøse og erfarne amatørsangere og dirigeres af Christian Tophøj Buur. Som solister i koncerten medvirker Anna Caroline Olesen, mezzosopran, Lauritz Jakob Thomsen, baryton, Isak Birkemose, organist og Juliane B. Soewarta, cello.
