We’re very proud to present a truly significant artist of the Japanese techno scene. Ken Ishii fits the Future Awkward ethos perfectly: a very versatile artist that exhibits a personal sound, across a host of styles, while still bringing innovation and a curious spirit.

Throughout the years Ishii has touched nearly every sphere of electronic music. He’s an accomplished and respected DJ, has soundtracked Nintendo and Netflix projects, produced seminal hits (such as Extra) and has released a stream of fully realised albums. His DJ style is driving, melodic and at times playful, and pulls from both fresh cuts and 90s classics.

Your hosts for the night will be Ctrls and Holtz, 2 of Copenhagen’s purest futurist selectors, from opposite ends of the experience spectrum, converging on distinct and innovative sounds for the opening and closing.
