Marcel Khalifé
Mon 20:30
About
Lebanese composer, singer and oud player Marcel Khalifé, regarded as Palestinian in Palestine and Lebanese in southern Lebanon, sees himself above all as an Arab musician. Accompanied by his oud, the traditional companion of poetry, he brings to the Festival des Libertés the emotion of his masterpiece Promises of the Storm, a magnificent interpretation of the poems of Mahmoud Darwish. Nearly fifty years after its creation, the work still calls on us to continue, intensify and never abandon the struggle against violations of rights and freedoms.
