Nakama Season 2 ep. 02 - Kaisen

Kaisen (廻戦) can be understood as “turning battle,” “cycle of battle,” or a battle that revolves/turns. The character 廻 carries the sense of going around, revolving, circulating or moving through a cycle, while 戦 means battle or conflict.

In the context of Nakama, it translates into an idea of continuous movement, rotation and confrontation

The music never really stops moving, tension builds, releases, returns and builds again. The dancefloor becomes a constantly rotating cycle of energy — a battle between sound, space and the people inside it.

After our last event marking the return after summer break, we are ready to enter the next chapter.

The DJs of the night welcome you into their domain, leaving the outside world behind into a space where they make their own rules.

For this episode, Nakama welcomes our first international guest, Daichi Wada. Joining us all the way from Japan, he will take you on a journey of with his all vinyl sets. Our residents will start the night and set the energy for what’s to come.
