Cookies & local storage
Last updated June 2026
SORAI is deliberately light on tracking. We don't use third-party advertising cookies. Most of what we keep lives in your browser's local storage on your device — not on a server, not tied to your name — so the app remembers your preferences and your taste model stays with you.
Essential — to make the app work
- Your theme (day/night) and which view you last used (Discover / Map / Plan).
- A short-lived hand-off so a place you tap opens its detail page instantly.
- Session basics needed for the page to function and stay secure.
Preferences & your stuff
- Your saved places and your plan/itinerary.
- A local profile handle used for venue chat and check-ins.
- Recent searches and the on-device taste/behaviour signals that personalise your feed.
Analytics
We record aggregate, non-identifying usage events (which places draw interest, whether a ticket link was followed) to understand what to improve. These are anonymous and first-party: they never build an advertising profile of you, never track you across sites, and your on-device taste model is never part of them. Because they're privacy-light, they're on by default under our legitimate interest — and you can opt out at any time here:
Analytics are ON by default — anonymous, no profiling. You can opt out.
Third parties
When you pay, our processor (Stripe) and any embedded checkout may set their own cookies to complete and secure the transaction. Map tiles and event links come from their providers. See Privacy and Licenses for the full list.
Your control
You can clear everything SORAI stored at any time by clearing site data / local storage in your browser — SORAI will simply forget your preferences and taste and start fresh. Questions? info@moclarus.com.
